Influencer Marketing Case Study: Sonesta Philadelphia Downtown Rittenhouse Square Instameet

In August of 2017 C&A partnered with Visit Philadelphia to host an Instameet for local and regional instagrammers to drive viral buzz and social media content showcasing the Sonesta’s rooftop pool.  The goal was to generate exposure for the pool within influencer social circles, generate social media impressions, and deliver content that the hotel could re-purpose on their social media channels. 

C&A and Visit Philadelphia invited a diverse cross-section of instagrammers including those who host fashion, food, cityscape, and still-life accounts to achieve a diverse depiction of the hotel’s brand energy and pool. C&A spearheaded the project from inception to execution – building the invite list, consulting of food and beverage themes, managing event on-site, and tracking social media coverage night-of.

The event guests represented a combined following of 288,000+, generating 28+ influencer posts that generated 9, 112+ likes. All posts included the hotel’s hashtag and Instagram accounts, driving increased following of the hotel’s account.
