Avalon’s Windrift Resort Hotel Gets a Facelift!
Avalon! My favorite shore town: full of amazing memories, too much fun, and not to mention where I met my fiancé, Nigel.

One of my favorite places in Avalon has always been the Windrift Resort Hotel. It’s right on the beach, and has great food, live music, and even better cocktails. You may not know this, but the Windrift went through a facelift this winter. (And everyone knows the winter is the best time for a facelift. 
From the minute you turn down 80th Street, you see the new façade that’s sleek, modern, and definitely not typical shore town shabby chic. Just chic!
Nigel and I visited last weekend to check it out firsthand. We stayed in an ocean front room that did not have the usual Avalon feel. I actually thought I was in a room at the new Revel Casino in Atlantic City (I have attached a photo but I encourage you to see it for yourself).
The Windrift completely renovated the rooms and expanded the bar. Besides the fabulous décor, each room has a Keurig stocked with coffee, tea, and decaf, which for me is a must. I also loved the Philosophy bath amenities, great touch!
When I’m not working, you can find me on the deck next to the fire pit sipping a glass of wine from the Windrift’s unbelievable wine cellar, which houses 100 bottles in an impressive temperature-controlled room. Even on a cool April day, the Windrift was just the place I needed to rest, breathe in the ocean air, and rejuvenate for the week ahead. I’m thinking about making a standing reservation, or just moving Cashman & Associates for the summer, but I really suggest you check it out for yourself.
